Laser Lipolysis

Cryo Gen dual wavelength Laser Lipolysis operates at two distinct depths into the fat layer, for faster and more consistent inch loss results. The more exercise you undertake between treatments the better your results will be. You must undertake approximately 30 minutes of cardio-vascular exercise to increase your metabolic rate to maximise the results of your treatments. The treatment also works as skin tightening.

The Laser Lipo device emits low level laser (LLL) energy at a wavelengh of 650nM and in the case of CryoGen a secondary wavelength of 908nM. This is just deep enough to reach the subcutaneous fat layer. The membranes (cell walls) of the fat cells (know as “Adipocytes”) are disrupted and develop tiny pores (holes) releasing the contents into the space between the fat cells (the “interstitial space”).

The contents of the fat cells (Fatty Acids, Triglycerides and water ) spill out from the porous cell membranes and are released into the interstitial space. This mechanism of action is not “liquefaction of fat”, it is instant emptying out of the cells rather than the destrution of them, (referred to as lypolysis).

The intra-cellular fat causes the cell to lose its round shape by changing the permeability of the cell membrane. This does not affect the neighbouring structures such as skin, blood vessels, and peripheral nerves
